At the seashore, a tot is dandled by his father to advertise East Anglia as a resort destination for the London and North Eastern railway. The bright, unoutlined colors in this poster are typical of Purvis; he was, in fact, probably the graphically strongest posterist of the many fine ones the British railways employed.
