Poster produced for the Southern Railway (SR) to promote cheap weekend tickets to Paris. The poster shows fashionably dressed men and women strolling in front of the Pantheon. The Pantheon was designed by Jacques Germain Sufflot (1709- 1780) and was built between 1764 and 1781, on the sight of an earlier church dedicated to St Genevieve. The Pantheon was later secularized and reconsecrated several times, finally becoming a mausoleum and memorial for France's illustrious citizens. Artwork by Frederick Griffin. Art Prints are printed on heavy matte finish German art paper using the finest Canon archival inks. Quality Frame with a single white matboard and Acrylic glazing.
